Corunna Community Policing Committee and the O.P.P. from the St. Clair satellite office held the 7th Annual Corunna Shred-It Day on Saturday May 5, 2012.
The Corunna Community Policing Committee is pleased with the turn out for this 7th annual event.
Approximately 172 people attended with 7,106 pounds (3230 KG) of material shredded.
These efforts assist in the reduction of fraud and identity theft crimes. Over the past seven years 740 people have taken advantage of this annual service and 25, 717 pounds (11,646 KG) of material have been shredded.
Plans are already underway to hold the 2013 event on Saturday May 4.
We would like to thank the Shred-It Company, members of the community, and all the volunteers who have helped to make this event a success.
